“If people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny.” Thomas Jefferson

Interesting Quote

I love this quote and I hope you do also.

"A true wife makes a man's life nobler, stronger, grander, by the omnipotence of her love 'turning all the forces of manhood upward and heavenward.' While she clings to him in holy confidence and loving dependence she brings out in him whatever is nobles and richest in his being. She inspires him with her courage and earnestness. She beautifies his life. She softens whatever is rude and harsh in his habits or his spirit. She clothes him with the gentler graces of refined and cultured manhood. While she yields to him and never disregards his lightest wish, she is really his queen, ruling his whole life and leading him onward and upward in every proper path. -JR Miller

What do you do when you, for years, feel that you are in this position as someone's wife, taking care of the home and children and schooling and everything else and the wonderful husband picks up another woman on one of his service calls. This happened to me. While I was the wife, thinking I had a secure life and homeschooling, plenty of land, a woodburning furnace with plenty of wood and a rootcellar to take care of my family, my husband met with a woman five years older than me, with three children removed by the state and an ex-husband that had divorced her because of an oxycontin addiction. This woman has pink and purple hair and she's 47. She also is covered in tattoos. I don't beleive the husband is the head of the family if this is what happens at his whim.

Then he, not you, have disregarded God's commission for him as the head of the household. He is the one that abandoned his position and direction. God new there would be lousy husbands like this and in that case He allowed for divorce because the husband was not "holding her far above rubies". A wonderful husband holds his wife dear and cherishes her like she is the most precious treasure on earth. Unfortunately, there are many husbands that are not wonderful. A reflection of a society that supports and encourages loose morals maybe? And your right, that kind of man is not the head of his household. He shook off that responsibility the second he thought about looking elsewhere. Prayers for you and your little ones, Kat
