Health Insurance

Unfortunately in today's world health insurance is a necessity, a catch 22 type of necessity. However, making sure you have the right insurance for your family and the best value for your dollar is something most families don't think about too terribly often. Most health insurance policies are obtained as part of a group plan with a company. We are led to believe that health insurance without these group plans is un obtainable for many and terribly expensive. However, this is not necessarily the truth. Recently, my husband's company change their group policy. This new policy stinks, the old policy wasn't much better but it stank a little less. I liken the first policy to the dead skunk smell outside your home, while the new one is like a skunk died in your living room. So we traded one stink for another one. We also pay out hefty insurance premiums for insurance that never pays anything. However, I have seen the medical bills and without insurance the billings are tremendous. At least now when we pay the medical bills out of pocket, along with our insurance premium, that we get to pay the insured rate versus the non-insured rate. Thus saving money while being fleeced (yes that was a touch of sarcasm). So I have ventured uot and been looking for new medical insurance on our own. What I have found is that I can get very good health insurance, non group insurance, for half of our current premiums. I can also get this insurance from a top notch company that actually does pay the medical bills that one would incur. So folks, don't be fleeced by the health insurance lie that you must automatically accept whatever insurance is thrown at you by your company because you can't otherwise afford it. We will be saving just over 200.00 a month with our new health insurance and have much better coverage. Do some research and see if you might be able to save money also.
