Our oldest daughter would be 23 now and 23 years ago on Jan. 11th, will be the anniversary of her death at 3 months old from SIDS/Crib Death. It was just a couple of days after he had her shots. Drs will not "nark" on each other where shots are concerned so we didn't pursue a lawsuit. But there isn't a day that's gone by that I haven't thought of her and we DID NOT immunize our other 2 daughers (now 21 and almost 18). Homeschooling helped, in that we didn't have the pressure of the public/private school "powers that be" pressing us to immunize or not accept our children into their schools.

We also had to leave a Dr we used to take the girls to b/c he constantly - at every visit - lectured us on getting their shots. Finally, when our (now) oldest daughter was 15 or 16 we just transfered their records to our family Dr and we all see the same one. Actually, that has been alot better - all of our records are in one place.

By the way...I've been "lurking" for a while and this is my 1st time commenting; just wanted to let you know that I REALLY enjoy your blog. Thanks for doing it!

Blessings from Ohio...

Thank you Kim for your comment and personal story. I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine the pain that you have suffered. I pray that God is with you and your family as that is a pain that time cannot erase. Your words are so true. Doctors will not tell you the truth. Many of them don't even know the truth, just what they were told in medical school. Mothers are just going to have to put their foot down and start insisting that we know what is best for our children. Thank you for sharing your story. God bless
